Brian Shepherd was born and educated in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.
With a diverse creative background and considerable artistic experience, Brian learned to use the airbrush as an art form, initially for the design work on motorcycles, for which he became well known in the 1980’s and 90’s. He still occasionally returns to this work if a commission particularly interests him and because of his love of motorcycles.
His work on custom motorcycles has been seen on numerous award winning bikes and has been featured in many magazine articles. Some examples of these can be seen on this site.
Creative flexibility has led to commissions for wall murals and canvases in clubs, bars and restaurants, window display backdrops and around swimming pools.
He works closely with his clients, offering design advice and developing their ideas. He is happy to work to any scale and will consider commissions in the UK and overseas.
Brian’s clients have included:
- Harvey Nichols
- Harrods of Knightsbridge
- Simpson’s of Piccadilly
- Planet Hollywood - London, Dubai, Rome and Dublin
- Many well known celebrities as private commissions
Latterly Brian has returned to using traditional paintbrushes for works in oil, acrylic and watercolour. An abiding interest in popular culture inspires much of his recent work. Brian’s work is collected in this country and the USA and more recently, he has appeared as the artistic consultant for 'Most Haunted' on Living TV.
